Bond takes to the road with Aston Martin in Spectre
New Zealand is ready for the release of the 24th James Bond film Spectre and this time Daniel Craig’s James Bond is getting a very slick new Aston Martin DB10 to combat the evil intentions of new adversary Franz Oberhauser (Christoph Waltz), and the shadowy Spectre.
The DB10 was custom made for Spectre with director Sam Mendes working closely with Aston Martin's Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman, and his design team to craft a highly memorable new vehicle for Bond. The DB10 features a 4.8 V8 engine, with 6 speed manual transmission, similar to that of the V8 Vantage, but comes in an overall bigger package.

Aston Martin have also weighed in on how the DB10 plays into their future plans saying that the "DB10 gives a glimpse to the future design direction for the next generation of Aston Martins."
In Spectre the DB10 appears in one of the film’s most dynamic, and aggressive action scenes. Set in Rome after Bond has infiltrated the mysterious Spectre he finds himself pursued by the terrifying Mr. Hinx (Dave Bautista) in a Jaguar C-X75. Here, in this scene, the DB10 is put through its paces at terrific speed, as well as showcasing it’s handling with plenty of sharp turns, and twisting streets. With dynamic camera sweeps, director Sam Mendes captures the unison of James Bond, and his very slick machine in kinetic movement. But the DB10 doesn’t just provide action, but also the setting for a very important, and vital story point.
Spectre is pure adrenaline, and Bond fans will find themselves exhilarated and entertained as James Bond comes full circle.
Spectre is released in cinemas today.
