It's almost been a year since Lewis Hamilton put an end to his 7-year on and off relationship.
And it seems like Nicole Scherzinger is no longer on his mind because the Formula 1 driver was lamenting the loss of his 'favourite Nicole' on Tuesday while posed up beside an adorable tiger cub.
Just back from a visit to Mexico's Black Jaguar White Tiger Foundation, the 31-year-old said he was missing 'the sweetest girl'.
Penning a tribute to the sweet cub, he wrote: 'I miss my favourite tiger Nicole. She's recovering well. As you can see, we're pretty close.' With arms interlocked, the duo lie on their sides gazing at each other, Lewis got closer to the predatory species than most will feel comfortable with.
'She's the sweetest girl,' Lewis reassured his 2.4M followers. 'Plus if you mess with me, she'll bite your ass or eat you:) Now that's a friend. @blackjaguarwhitetiger #Nicole #tiger #bestbuddies'.
It seemed like the legacy of his relationship with former girlfriend Nicole had been superseded by the hunk's memories of the new Nicole in his life.
Lewis has also grown attached to affectionately named 'Lewis the Lion,' who may have had some bearing on his huge roaring lion chest tattoo.
On getting the vast torso inking, the lion lover said: 'The African Lion Symbolizes mastering your emotions.
'The African lion roars ferociously and the roar can be heard for miles... It is summoning the power of the sun to be unleashed at his will, he proclaims his power as a message and a warning.'
Returning from the North American spot on Sunday, Lewis was feeling nostalgic about 'the best birthday weekend I have ever had.'
He took a full squad of friends over to Cabo to ring in his first birthday in his Thirties, enjoying a spot of dirt and quad biking, surfing and generally relaxing.
Writing on Instagram, Lewis said: 'Last weekend was by far the best birthday weekend I have ever had. I have fallen in love with Mexico, this for me is not only one of the most beautiful places in the world but the people were so gentle, loving & kind. Thank you Mexico.'
