The final scenes have been filmed, and now production on Fast 8, the eighth installment in the Fast and the Furious franchise has finished.
To celebrate the completion of filming, the production team released an official image of the principal cast assembled together on Facebook.
The image is noteworthy because all of Fast 8’s principal cast is present, including stars Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, who earlier last week had been involved in a scuffle on social media, with many speculating that a feud had broken out between the two men. It appears that both of them have put the incident behind them though, and are now focusing their energy on bringing the film to completion.
In addition to the cast photo rising young star and Fast 8 newcomer Scott Eastwood also updated his fans about the films completion on his Instagram.
Feuding stars aside, Fast 8 is sure to keep car enthusiasts very entertained with director F. Gary Grey (Straight Outta Compton) and his team showcasing cool sneak peeks at the production throughout filming including a look into the set called ‘The Toy Shop’, as well as the cars that Dominic Toretto’s crew will be driving on location in Iceland that include Dom’s trademark Dodge Charger, Letty’s Local Motors Rally Fighter, Roman Pierce’s all style orange Lamborghini Murcielago, and a vehicle simply described as the ‘ice ram’ for Dwayne Johnson.
While no synopsis has been revealed for Fast 8 so far it is known that Oscar winner Charlize Theron will step into the role of lead villainous Cipher, and that she has a bone to pick with Dominic Toretto and his crew that will lead him back to his hometown of New York City.
The first trailer for Fast 8 will debut in December, and the film will be released on April 13, 2017.
