... apart from those in the review process I suppose.
In 'hmmm, that's odd' news, Ford's President of North America has been benched effective immediately without any detailed explanation as to why.
Raj Nair has worked for Ford since 1987 — more than three decades. Primarily a mechanical engineer, he's shifted from working in a leadership capacity across Europe, South America, and Asia, to securing the gig as head of global product development.
Just last year, he was named the Executive Vice President before ultimately becoming the head big cheese of the company's North American division on June 1, 2017. Nair played an integral role in numerous projects, including the much loved Ford GT and Ford Focus RS.
A recent anonymous complaint about Nair prompted an internal review, which has since resulted in today's statement about Nair's immediate ousting.
"We made this decision after a thorough review and careful consideration," said Ford President and CEO Jim Hackett. "Ford is deeply committed to providing a safe and respectful culture and we expect our leaders to fully uphold these values."
“The review determined certain behavior by Nair was inconsistent with the company’s code of conduct,” the company added in their release.
“I sincerely regret that there have been instances where I have not exhibited leadership behaviors consistent with the principles that the Company and I have always espoused," Nair himself said in Ford's release.
"I continue to have the utmost faith in the people of Ford Motor Company and wish them continued success in the future.”
Ford are yet to name Nair's replacement.
