Mazda will unveil a 'thoroughly re-engineered and refined' Mazda6 next week at the Los Angeles Auto Show with a range of new engines, safety features and premium interior materials.
The company will display their new flagship sedan to media, before going on public display.
Mazda say the development team's goals for this round of updates was to incorporate premium details as well as new engineering concepts and technology.
The new Mazda6 will adopt new powertrain technologies, including a cylinder deactivation system for the SkyActiv-G 2.5-litre gasoline engine, to offer better fuel efficiency. The SkyActiv-G 2.5T direct-injection turbocharged gasoline engine that debuted in the Mazda CX-9 SUV has been added to the engine lineup.
A new high-grade interior features Japanese Sen Wood, often used in traditional Japanese instruments and furniture, and other exclusive trim elements for an enhanced premium feel that is authentic to the brand.
Saftey wise, Mazda say the new Mazda6 will offer a wider range of the comapny's i-Activsence safety technologies as standard across the range, including an updated Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) which can now bring the car to a standing stop and take off again when the car in front moves away.
The high grade models also adopt Mazda’s latest 360° View Monitor.
The new Mazda6 will be revealed in full on November 29 before going on public display from December 1 at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
