Is this the next Holden Commodore SS?

The next-generation Holden Commodore is going to be one of the Australian marque's most important releases in their post-Australian manufacturing life — for reasons just about everyone's fleshed out in print and on the world wide web.
But, while we've already seen what the standard 'NG' Commodore will look like, there's yet to be any word on the styling of the meatier all-wheel drive variant. Until now ... maybe.
A lone leaked image of the exterior of the Commodore's sister Buick Regal GS variant — coupled with a lone image of its interior — have surfaced online in Russia. And while it's not yet confirmed, it's highly likely that the GS will appear in Australasia as the lead 'performance' model in the Commodore range.
Styling on the GS carries over an interesting array of features. It has a cross-hatched grill similar to the Commodore (as opposed to the vertical slats on the other Buick Regal models that have already been showcased).
A pair of aggressive nostrils on the corners of the front bumper signal its performance intentions, while simultaneously harking back to the outgoing Insignia VXR's similar silver air intakes. A full bodykit is complimented by 18in wheels, while inside drivers get sport pedals, red stitching, and a flat-bottom steering wheel.
At this stage everyone — Buick, Holden, GM — are tight lipped about what model will go where with what name (the SS moniker could well be retired). But we do know that an all-wheel drive V6 featuring some trick technology will come here in some form. Power is said to be in the region of 230kW with 370Nm of torque, with a nine-speed automatic transmission helping put those numbers to the pavement.
There's undoubtedly more news to come. We'll keep our eyes peeled.
