Citroen DS 3
(2014) Citroen DS3 DSport (3dr 5 seat Hatchback)
|Comfort & Convenience||Acoustics are key to onboard comfort, and the DS 3 sets the standard. Reduced vibration, engine noise, wind noise and road noise ensure a quieter ride. Soundproofing and noise absorption are placed as close as possible to the source of emissions, with particular emphasis on the engine compartment and doors.
Door seals are also fitted, and the gram-per-metre count of sealing sheets has been increased to 200, compared with a class average of 90.
|Exterior||The DS 3 is a designer’s dream. Even when stationary it exudes a dynamic sense of movement. Its stunning profile is simultaneously robust and bold, smooth and refined. A unique ‘shark fin’ B pillar sweeps towards the floating roofline, while two distinctive rows of vertical LED lights flank the aggressive lower grille and spotlights. The chromed upper grille incorporates the Citroën double chevron and the avant-garde DS signature badge. From any angle there are design details to delight.|
|Interior||If the outside of the DS3 is appealing, the inside is simply irresistible. The cabin features premium leather and chrome with every glance. The aluminium sport pedal assembly is fitted with non-slip pads, while the gear lever combines satin chrome with glossy colour or matt leather for a perfect grip.
Automatic air conditioning controls built into the central console feature chrome surrounds. Yes, you could say the interior of your DS 3 is the perfect combo of design and sophistication.
|Safety||Safety and performance go hand in hand with the DS 3. All models have six airbags and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) as standard, including Anti-skid Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Emergency Braking Assistance (EBA). The stringent ANCAP test has also recognised the DS 3’s safety advances, awarding it the maximum 5-star ANCAP safety rating.|
