Honda New Zealand is pleased to introduce the new 2015 Euro Civic 5 door hatch.
The new Euro Civic boasts sportier styling, new safety and infotainment technologies, with refined performance and handling.
The 2015 Euro Civic’s design provides a distinctive new face, highlighted by new headlamps with integrated daytime running lights, a sleek new front bumper, side skirts, rear spoiler, rear bumper and LED rear combination lamps. On the inside new seat fabrics with new stitching on the headrests, new door trims, chrome door handles and a new control panel finished in metallic black.
In keeping with these premium exterior and interior enhancements, the 2015 Euro Civic also introduces a range of new suspension and safety technologies that refine the drive. This makes it even more stable in all weather conditions.
Honda’s new Agile Handling Assist System is being introduced to our market for the first time.
When required the Agile Handling Assist System applies a light braking force to individual wheels during cornering. This is to maximise vehicle responsiveness and stability and is imperceptible to the driver. The updated Vehicle Stability Assist System works with Agile Handling Assist to maximise traction when cornering or during acceleration on slippery surfaces. This is achieved by modulating the brake and throttle to ensure the vehicle remains on its selected course. The Vehicle Stability Assist System also enhances the brake pedal feel.
Easy and intuitive to use, the new Honda Display Audio runs on a crystal clear seven inch display which can be customised to suit individual (users’) preferences. Colour coded icons ensure moving through the touch screen menus is quick and simple. Display Audio gives rapid access to everything from vehicle information, rear view parking camera with dynamic guidelines, music and Bluetooth connectivity for phones. The Euro Civic LN gets Display Audio+ which adds Navigation.
The 2015 Euro Civic features Honda's Motion Adaptive Electric Power Steering system, which has been retuned in order to improve the vehicle’s steering response at high speed. Dampers front and rear have been completely revised to provide a sportier drive, reducing body roll and improving response without compromising comfort. Honda’s 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol engine remains available in automatic or 6 speed manual transmissions.
The Euro Civic range benefits from Honda’s unique centre fuel tank layout. The fuel tank is located under the front seats, allowing the Euro Civic to offer unparalleled interior space and flexible practicality, optimised by Honda’s Magic Seat configuration.
The rear seat assembly folds down in one easy movement and the interior trunk floor is raised to create a completely flat area when the seats are folded down. The rear seat cushions can also be flipped up to reveal ample floor space for carrying tall objects. A 60:40 split in the seat base offers even more options for carrying both people and cargo, and provides an alternative load area if access via the tailgate is limited.
