New Mazda debutante helps bolster record April
CX-3 helps deliver record April for Mazda New Zealand
Strong sales of the Mazda CX-3 helped deliver Mazda New Zealand its best ever April and an outstanding 35th consecutive month of YOY growth.
With sales of 135 the Mazda CX-3 claimed the number one spot in the small SUV segment. It was supported by its bigger brother the CX-5 which continues to be the top selling mid-size SUV YTD to private buyers. In passenger sales the company claimed third spot with 10% market share (674 units).
Andrew Clearwater, Managing Director Mazda New Zealand says the results confirm the fact that Mazda SUVs are becoming the vehicles of choice for New Zealand motorists wanting to purchase an SUV.
“To have the CX-3 number one in its class in April and the CX-5 continuing to lead its segment is a great result and testament to the quality, design and performance of the vehicles. Demand for both of these vehicles continues to be very strong so we expect them to maintain their positions in the coming months.
“Later this year we will be introducing the all new Mazda CX-9. This will give New Zealand motorists the most comprehensive SUV line-up in the market for to select from,” concluded Clearwater.
