New Mitsubishi Mirage XLS steps into the limelight
By Mitsubishi • 04/04/2016
Released on 1 April, there is no fooling around when it comes to the essentials. The 2016 Mirage XLS is still incredibly economical to run, still very competitively priced and still backed by New Zealand’s best new car warranty1. Now motorists can enjoy all this and a whole lot more, with the stylish new look, inside and out.
A restyled exterior ensures the new model cuts a more refined look, with redesigned hood, grill and bumpers. Distinctive details such as machine-finished alloy wheels and a chrome undergrill accentuate Mirage’s classy profile.
Chrome signatures continue inside, with a steering wheel-mounted Mitsubishi badge and gearshift trim, offset by fun and spacious black and ivory upholstery.
More sophisticated in appearance, the new Mirage is also smoother on the road thanks to improved suspension and stability.
“This new model represents a ‘coming of age’ of sorts for Mirage – a practical and economical Kiwi favourite with a more cultured attitude,” said Mitsubishi head of sales and marketing strategy Daniel Cook. “Delivering outstanding fuel economy of 4.9L/100km at a competitive price, motorists will love the stylish and modern new design and when they climb inside the XLS’ classy interior they are sure to smile.”
Standard safety features in the five-seat XLS include dual-stage driver, passenger, side and curtain airbags plus four-wheel ABS, EBD and ASC. Drivers can also enjoy the convenience of Hill Start Assist and Smart Brake technology, plus Bluetooth®2connectivity and a USB port.
