(2014) Peugeot 508 RXH HYbrid4 4WD (5dr 5 seat Station Wagon)
New 508 RXH hybrid station wagon launched August 2014 & is to be considered as a completely separate model from the 508. It is an incarnation of a modern & different upmarket range from Peugeot, both in its dimensions & its visual identity, through the choice of a unique hybrid high-tech diesel engine & electric motor with a single, lavishly-appointed trim level. Its visual signature is enhanced by its individual front end character, flared wings, daytime running lights, a new exclusive body colour & its use of natural materials.
With its wider track, its 18in wheels & raised attitude the 508 RXH has a natural stance that is inspired by its all-wheel drive capability. Furthermore, due to its HYbrid4 drive train, it offers a responsible & intelligent alternative.
Illustrating the cross-platform, modular versatility of HYbrid4 technology, the 508 RXH is, after the 3008 HYbrid4, the 2nd of the marque’s models to receive the diesel-electric hybrid power plant.
The maximum combined power can reach 147kW (200bhp) by combining the 120kW (163bhp) from the 2.0L HDi FAP diesel engine & the on-demand peak power of the 27kW (37bhp) electric motor.
Up to 300Nm of torque is delivered to the front wheels by the HDi diesel unit & up to 200Nm to the rear wheels with the electric motor. The maximum combined value however is 450Nm at lower road speeds. The 508 RXH is able to provide for the desires for a new driving experience with a choice of four HYbrid4 modes (Automatic, 'Zero Emissions Vehicle' ZEV), Sport or 4WD) & exceptional fuel economy of 4.1L/100km in the Combined Drive Cycle & CO2 of 107g/km.
