2014 was an amazing year for Peugeot, with the new Peugeot 308 taking out numerous awards in both Europe and here in New Zealand.
One of our key highlights of the year, was also about looking forward. The Paris Motor Show showcased many of the heroes of tomorrow.
Held in Paris in October, with 40 cars on display across a 4,000 sqm booth in hall 1 of the Paris Motor Show, PEUGEOT revealed a revitalised and unified range. PEUGEOT's ability to enhance the experience behind the wheel while continuing to develop environment-friendly solutions held centre stage.
Proving the brands position as one of the most successful car makers in Europe in terms of carbon reduction, Peugeot showcased the revolutionary 208 HYbrid Air 2L demonstrator. This innovative air technology achieves half the consumption of the already highly efficient 208, resulting in approximately just 141mpg (2.0l/100km).
The Brand’s shift upmarket was displayed by the new PEUGEOT 308 and PEUGEOT 508 (coming to New Zealand mid 2015) which are also perfect examples of the brand's technological expertise.
The limited edition PEUGEOT 208 GTi 30th (also coming to New Zealand mid 2015), presented alongside the 2008 DKR rally car, illustrated the expertise of PEUGEOT SPORT and its ability to meet the specific needs of individual customers while rising to the challenges of even the most demanding races.
Elsewhere, the PEUGEOT EXALT and PEUGEOT QUARTZ concepts demonstrated a distinctive, high-end combination of thrills and efficiency. The dramatic design of the QUARTZ Concept showed Peugeot’s idea of what a next generation SUV should look like, while the Peugeot EXALT Concept appeared in a unque guise, an incarnation described as a premium car that employs locally sourced and recycled materials.
