Harrison Ford swaps flying for a spin in his vintage Jaguar
With a net worth of $210 million, it's no wonder he's developed a taste for luxurious modes of transport.
But Star Wars actor Harrison Ford, 73, swapped his vast airplane collection for a spin in his $150,000 vintage Jaguar on Saturday.
The action star was spotted filling up his lavish vehicle with petrol in Santa Monica, California, after making a surprise appearance at the Disney D23 Expo in nearby Anaheim.
The father-of-five cut a casual figure at the gas station, wearing a yellow shirt, khaki trousers, black leather belt and sporty, mirrored sunglasses.
After filling up his vintage 1955 Jaguar XK 140, the actor - who plays Hans Solo in the iconic film series - was spotted behind the wheels of his bottle-green convertible.
The car, which can reach speeds of up to 125 miles per hour, was manufactured by Jaguar between 1954 and 1957.
It's just one of the many vintage cars and motorbikes in Harrison's collection, as well as several BMWs, a couple of Harleys, Hondas and a Triumph.
But his need for speed famously came at a cost when he recently crash-landed his two-seater PT-22 aircraft in Venice, California, shortly after take-off from nearby Santa Monica airport.
Harrison escaped with a broken pelvis and severe head injuries in the accident on March 5 when he crashed on Penmar Golf Course after his vintage single-engine plane lost power.
A recent report from the National Transportation Safety Board blamed engine malfunction.
He's since made a good recovery after spending three weeks in hospital and recuperating at home.
And loyal third wife Calista Flockhart revealed he's been out flying since his accident - even joining her husband in his plane.
The Ally McBeal star told People magazine: 'He loves it, so I love it, and I support him 100 percent.'
