The Beach Hop festival has returned to the Coromandel town of Whangamata, exploding the population base from 7,000 residents to well over 100,000.
Hot Rods and Rock 'N' Roll enthusiasts have descended on Whangamata since Wednesday the 25th and will remain cruising the streets until Sunday the 29th.
