Kiwi motorcycle rider Bruce Anstey has won his 10th Isle of Man TT in a tightly-contested race.

The 45-year-old overtook leader Ian Hutchinson after the pit-stops the end of the fourth lap on Sunday (Monday NZT).

He then went on to set a new winning record, with a margin of 10.97 seconds.

Anstey also set the fastest lap of the day in the six-lap race, doing 212 kilometres per hour in his final circuit.

After the race, Anstey told the BBC: "I can't believe it - I've been waiting a long time for this."

"I almost ran into Michael on the last lap, which put me off my rhythm a bit, but I managed to get my head together again.

"I've won all the other classes but this is the one I wanted. The bike ran perfectly."

Hutchinson finished second, James Hillier in third, John McGuinness fourth and William Dunlop completing the top five.
