The Korean Grand Prix has been dropped from the 2015 Formula One calendar, reducing the season to 20 races.

The race, set to be staged on May 3, was added at the last minute to the calendar last month at a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council, but motorsport's governing body FIA removed the event from its revised schedule.

The Korean Grand Prix was held from 2010 to 2013 but was dropped from the calendar after organizers faced financial difficulties.

The 2015 season will start with the Australian Grand on March 15 and will end in Abu Dhabi on the final weekend of November.
