Kiwi Hayden Paddon has finished fifth at Rally Mexico after setting the third fastest time on the final stage.
Finland's Jari-Matti Latvala has won the rally ahead of world champion Volkswagen teammate Sebastien Ogier.
Spain's Dani Sordo, Paddon's Hyundai teammate, finished third while Ford driver Mads Ostberg was fourth.
It means Paddon drops to fifth in the standings.
Latvala failed to score in the first two rounds of the WRC but dominated the opening gravel event in Mexico.
Ogier retained the championship lead by finishing second.
Ogier also won the final live television Power Stage to claim three bonus points, Latvala took two points for second while Paddon claimed the final point in third place in the Power Stage.
