A Nissan Juke Nismo RS has set a new world record time for a mile on two wheels by a four-wheeled vehicle at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK.

Driven by stuntman Terry Grant, the Juke Nismo RS was able to complete a mile (1.6 kilometres) up the Goodwood hill in two minutes and 10 seconds during his first attempt.

That's an average speed of 44.3km/h on two wheels, just by-the-by. With the 160kW of power and 280Nm of torque on hand from the RS' 1.6-litre turbocharged direct-injection four-cylinder engine, Grant was able to shatter his previous record of two minutes and 55 minutes.

That earlier record was set at the 2011 edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed in a less powerful variant of the uniquely-styled and polarising Nissan Juke crossover.
