The World Rally Championship present the best jumps the sport's ever seen
Few forms of contemporary motorsport are as exciting and spectacular to watch in 2016 as they were in the ’70s and ’80s — a period many of the grayer ones among us like to think was the heyday of car racing.
But, the World Rally Championship comes quite close. Yes, the cars aren't the same as the fire-breathing Group B monsters of yesteryear, but the racing seems just as pumped to the brim with risk (you only need to look at Hayden Paddon's exits from the last two rounds).
It's the on-board footage taken during high-speed stages that I'm particularly fond of, where after a while as a spectator I've got to wonder whether the drivers are actually undercover cyborgs. But, for many others, the jumps of the WRC are the ticket.
Quite kindly, the category have pieced together this video of some of the scariest instances of aerial acrobatics you'll see in motorsports.
Absolute supermen.
