Mini New Zealand has announced full specification and pricing for the new 3- and 5-door Mini Cooper Hatch range as the fresh MY18 models arrive in dealerships nationwide.
The new Mini will feature refreshed look, new colours and three different engines.
Prices for the five-model range will start at $35,990 for 3-door models and $37,990 for 5-door models, while the top-of-the-range John Cooper Works 3-door performance hatch will hit local dealerships from $54,990.
All models are offered with a manual gearbox as standards or a dual-clutch automatic as an option.

Mini say MY18 changes focused on driver appeal and core new technologies like Navigation as standard, and first-in-class options like anti-dazzle adaptive headlights and the introduction of Mini Connected.
New models will also sport a newly-designed Mini logo on the body, key fob, projection lighting and steering wheel. The new Mini's exterior appearance has been refreshed with front and rear LED lights, designed to enhance low- and high-beam range.
The rear now features a Union Jack styled tail light, and Adaptive LED with 'matrix' high beam function that can 'read' the road with the front camera is offered as an option.

The entry level Mini comes equipped with a turbocharged 1.5-litre engine producing 100kW and 220Nm, 16-inch alloy wheels and cloth ‘Firework’ upholstery.
The Cooper S gains a turbocharged 2.0-litre with 141kW and 280Nm, dual exhaust pipes and 17-inch wheels.

The pinnacle of the 3-door range, the John Cooper Works, gains a more powerful 2.0-litre engine with 170kW and 350Nm with adaptive suspension, Mini driving modes and John Cooper Works sports seats.
Mini say the new hatch is at the cutting-edge of 4G connectivity with the introduction of MINI Connected. The system utilises the 4G network to pass on real-time traffic and weather information, remote services and Emergency eCall function.
