Sales Spotlight: 2020 Toyota Supra

As the saying goes, "If you want a BMW sports car, you buy a BMW. And if you want a Toyota sports car, you buy a BMW as well," — it might not be an action saying, but it's the harsh truth.
You'll be aware that the 2020 Toyota Supra was one of the most controversial cars revealed last year thanks to the Japnese brand's convenient alliance with BMW to make it happen.
Toyota's decision to pair with BMW may not be everyone's cup of tea, but you can't deny the numbers behind the reborn Supra. At least 250kW and 500Nm of torque shoots the two-door coupe to 100km/h in just four seconds before topping out at 250km/h.
All this power comes from the turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine that the Supra shares with its BMW-badged cousin, the Z4. Interestingly, Toyota managed to squeeze a significant amount of extra power out of the German engine over what the Z4 has.
As these new Supras only went on sale late last year in New Zealand, we didn't expect any to hit the second-hand market for at least a few months, but this listing on our site has proven us wrong.
Considering the Supra comes with a $99,990 price tag when new, this example with just 300km on the clock for $96,500 seems like a decent deal.
