Holden New Zealand has revealed its most expensive vehicle – a $3million ute – ahead of next week’s Fieldays.
The Colorado Xtreme ute prototype was created at GM Holden’s Melbourne centre before being revealed early this year at the Bangkok motor show on the Chevrolet stand.
Its appearance at Hamilton next week will be the first showing in the Southern Hemisphere before it heads to Australia.
It was revealed to the New Zealand motoring media yesterday at an exclusive event at Ambury Farm, Auckland.
Holden New Zealand’s managing director, Kristian Aquilina (pictured above), told the media that the Colorado Xtreme was the company’s most expensive vehicle, and although he won’t comment on the price tag to build the prototype, it cost approximate $3million.
The Xtreme features large engine hood scoops, side plates on the sports bar as well as a Safari Bar plus LED lights in the front grille and on the roof basket.
The Colorado Xtreme was hand-built in Australia and indicates the design features inside and out of the facelift Colorado ute that will be launched in New Zealand in September.
